For more than twenty years Ray Costarella has been telling a story. His exotic locations, fascinating creatures and intricate plots have been admired and worn by a plethora of international stars and local heroines.

The creative behind Aurelio Costarella, Aurelio Costarella Couture and whitewheel, his mission is clear - to create a wearable discourse imbued with a distinctive handwriting.

Driven by a passion for design and an appreciation of the aesthetic, Ray's creations focus on the body and its form. Colour and texture take centre stage as he creates beautiful clothing for the confident wearer. The detailing is both intricate and understated, not unlike the man himself.

The winter 06 couture collection "Wuthering Heights" is an artistic blend of eras and emotions. Kate Bush and Emily Bronte are called upon as past meets present and memory dances with destiny. Vintage purses, Victorian bonnets, boudoir pillowcases and 1950s brassieres have been restored and reborn into exquisite red carpet statements.

The Aurelio Costarella labels are available throughout Australia (inc Belinda, Sydney and Melbourne) and internationally with stockists in Hong Kong (Harvey Nichols), Los Angeles (American Rag cie and We of the Never Never), Italy and Brunei.
